What do you love most about your job?
The kiddos are so cute and precious and it is so exciting to see how much my students learn over the course of a year; not because of what I may be teaching them, but because there is naturally so much growth that occurs at this age.
What makes your job fun, fresh, or engaging each day?
Usually it’s art time with my class, but I also really enjoy the different aspects of our Fruit and Vegetable curriculum.
Favorite memory of your early childhood:
When I was about three years old, my Dad surprised me by building a sandbox right by our back porch. I remember the feel of bright morning sunshine as I dug and scooped sand.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a young child I wanted to be a nurse. Around middle school that switched to be an archaeologist. I actually ended up becoming a hair stylist as a young adult.
Comfort food would describe what I like best: homemade soup, casseroles, roasts, potatoes and gravy, and lots of vegetables. I make a delicious meatloaf with mushroom gravy!
